The Sleepy Gecko Guesthouse is located in the trendy Johannesburg suburb of Melville. Close to the SABC, News Agencies, Universities and the business districts of Johannesburg City, Sandton, Rosebank and Randburg. It is the ideal location for business and casual travelers alike. Transfers from the airport can be arranged by our staff upon request. Our hosts will be glad to give you directions if you are coming in from out of town. Here are the directions from O R Tambo International Airport: From O R Tambo Airport, take R24 as you leave the airport, follow signs to N3 Johannesburg. From N3 take M2 West towards City. After the Rissik Street off ramp on the M2 West, switch to left hand lane and take the M1 North to Sandton / Pretoria. From M1 North take Empire off ramp (R55) Follow signs to Auckland Park. Stay in middle lane of Empire Road, cross Barry Hetzog (Millpark Holiday Inn on your left) empire becomes Annet Road. Continue to T-junction (SABC Buildings in front of you) Turn Right into Kingsway. At third traffic light turn right into Lothbury Road (on left road is called Cookham). Lothbury becomes Melville’s 7th Street, continue past shops and restaurants, turn left into 3rd Avenue. The Sleepy Gecko Guesthouse is on the left in 3rd Avenue just past the restaurant SOI on the corner of 7th and 3rd and opposite the restaurant ‘Kombuis’. |
